The original Homefront made by THQ was an over hyped door-opening-simulator with a shocking MP.

When THQ went bust Crytek bought the rights to Homefront and are currently working on Homefront: The Revolution

Crytek seem to be having financial troubles, they closed Crytek UK and sold the IP on Homefront to Deep Silver (though several former Crytek UK staff were moved over to Deep Silver in the process):
