survival mode gameplay footage (linky)Valve has confirmed that the free Left 4 Dead Survival Pack will arrive for the PC next week with the Xbox 360 release.
The DLC will add the new Survival Mode which sees players facing off against increasingly frequent waves of zombies across 12 maps.
In testing, players had yet to see a match last longer than nine minutes, and it seems that anything over 14 minutes will be impossible. According to the Left 4 Dead Blog, Tanks will spawn at least every 14 seconds. Valve's Kerry Davis and Scott Dalton said:
In addition, the DLC unlocks Versus Mode support for the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns next Tuesday, 21 April.Given the extreme pace of Survival Mode, the number of zombies killed in a single round often outnumbers an entire campaign.
