Well, most of us have played it now....so what's the common view?

Ice and Hanz are just against it anyway (Ice for politics) and Hanz cos he's Dutch  But the rest of us!

Gameplay is quite good, and FINALLY have a game where lean AND prone exist...it's bliss! Thoughts?

Im not against it for political reasons mate, its a matter of PRINCIPAL (politics and principles dont mix - atleast not in this country)....Im a man of honour after all :D

The moment we all lie down and let Developers/Publishers charge us full whack for a short lived (sp), sometimes broken (mp), limited (i.e. consolised) game that doesnt make good use of the latest PC technology is the moment we all turn our backs on the PC platform for gaming.

As a consumer you should demand and expect the very best for your money, you've earned it after all (well, maybe not you Welshy...bloody students!), companies invest more money and time in marketing a game than they do on Q&A, rather than taking their time to produce something brilliant they churn out hurried games that required day-one-patches.

Back before the PC became a popular gaming platform, and before the internet was so commonly available, when we had the spectrum 128k and Amiga 500 (plus numerous others) memory was in such short supply that every single bit had to be used optimally and then released back as soon as it was no longer required. You didnt get patches, you bought a game and it worked out the box (unless you turned the screw the wrong way on the spectrums tape loader!).

So, Im mainly against several things that are contributing to a dilution of quality games:

:: Publishers setting unrealistic launch dates, basically twisting the arm of the dev house limiting what they can do with a game in that time (which causes the following).
:: Devs being lazy with their programming relying on 'garbage collection' routines to free up memory instead of doing it themselves explicitly (microsoft are a great example of this - albeit not a game developer).
:: Devs taking the easy route and creating games for consoles which would be classed as "ancient and more fitting in a museum" in the pc world on the hardware level (thus having numerous knock on effects to the PC 'port' that limit its overall ability to create an enjoyable game)
:: Devs focusing on making games looks pretty rather than giving them substance (4hr SP campaigns - wtf!)

Its all about money, not the gamers experience these days. Did you know that COD MW2 set record sales figures grossing huge sums of money for the publisher (WankiVision)....yet the development costs were pretty low, didnt even make it into the top 10 of costliest titles to produce to date.

and as for me uni is priority atm but i might consider it for xmas holidays.

so far the singleplayer has been more intense then the last one, it's like a hollywood movie with unlimited special effects budget. :)

only downside is when i get into the vietnam level my fps drops to 5 so i die... :x

If either of you (Hanz/Bongs) have a good torrent link let me know...just so i can see how great/poor the SP is in terms of rich engaging storyline and duration.

As stated elsewhere in gossip I can't play this game because of spikes and stutters although my computer more than meets the minimum requirements. I don't usually rant and troll but this is making me quite frustrated. If I bought a broken product of any other category than a computer game I would be able to return and get my money back. Now I parted with my cash and I can't get it back - and yes-I-wan't-a-biscuit-with-that!

On top of that the installation wanted me to download 18gb of data even though I had a disc; spent one hour trying to figure out how to install from the disc! I actually think they shipped the PC version with closed eyes and dollar sign up their ars... How's that for a first impression!

If you call the cookies a blockbuster triple A game from Treyarch and Activision I'll buy them from you for 30£. Deal? :chr2:
