My first online gaming was fc but i've been into computer gaming since playing colossal cave on a trs 80

bin there done that - in a pub, on a table top machine, pre the table top space invaders- OMG how old am I ? my father also bought the original home tv tennis machine - hours of fun but the cbm pet with the plane landing program was probably my first ever view of the future (seen in a shop window as who could afford a pet at 1 years average wage? 16K of ram though edit apparantly only 4k of ram, max, in the era I am thinking of - 76-77 )

Helped build something called a Tangerine Microtan 65 at school circa 1979, based on a 0.75 Mhz 6502 cpu, input was via hex keypad, BASIC ROM and ASCII input was an optional extra, we managed to get a simple space invader program running on it though, computer studies being serious in those days.

1st solo program was a simple cat and mouse (big block chasing little block) on my ZX80
1st online experience, PRESTEL with a ZX Spectrum and 1200/75 modem

The Commodore PET 2001 was a very successful machine. Four models were made: early 4KB models, the PET 2001-8N with 8 KB RAM, PET 2001-16N with 16 KB RAM and the PET 2001-32N with 32K RAM. Microsoft wrote the BASIC!

Happy days I used to fix Amigas for a living, the 500 and 500 plus were personal favourites as most were due to the odd and even cia chips, easy fix just swap them, both chips identical, both using different parts of the chip. I also reckon I could strip down and rebuild a floppy drive in about 2 minutes.
