From reading various websites and the n'Ubi forums the SP seems to be getting good feedback, the MP though seems to be as bad as COD IWNET P2P system was with no apparent working auto-balance so having wasted half your life waiting in a lobby to get enough players to launch - you end end up with uneven sides should players leave the lobby before the game launches.

Another bug-bear seems to be the HUD which you cant turn off and takes up vast amounts of screen space.

Anyhow, think I'll hold off a little bit longer before deciding to part with cash.

SP is still getting good reviews though.

Yeah I have only really positive things about mp and sp, only thing everyone keeps saying is there is a need for a lot of patched. So I am hanging off for a bit longer as well

like you say sp supposed to have 25 hours of play but that crap on screen . keeps putting me off getting it

why cant they just have the blood splat that gave you a genral direction you were being shot from

As far as I'm concerned, all game review magazines/websites are just another PR channel for the Developers Marketing Dept and are therefore biased.

Cant really blame them as there are plenty about and they are all fighting for access to games, if you give a favourable review overlooking all the short comings you get early access, sometimes exclusive access...or maybe a brown envelope stuffed with money, or an all expenses paid trip to their dev house so they can butter you up....etc etc.

Truth is, you just have look at the games forums and websites like MetaCritic to get an honest assessment of a game, take anything a gaming sites says with a very large pinch of salt!

I'm trying to resist the urge to buy this. I've never really played singleplayer games... think I've only finished a handful of games singleplayer... fc1, cod2 and cod4.

I can see from the vid that mp looks at least fairly fun if it wasnt for the shitty p2p servers... gona keep my eye on it. Still looks like a massive improvement on FC2, if only they had learned their lessons with multiplayer... the reason cod could handle the p2p servers (which they have even dropped now) is because of their massive player base, it just doesnt work with a small one, and its only going to get smaller from now!
