If a TV show was first broadcast in 2000 and last broadcast in 2010, how many years has it been on TV?

10 or 11?

decades like century's end with a year ending in a 0 not begin with one, so 2000 was the last year of the 20th century not the beginning of the 21st, 2010 is the last year of the decade, a decade being 10 years, 2000 is a not member of this decade it is the end of the previous one, so 10 + 1 = 11
